Gerber designed the lobby lounge and rooftop bar of the heavily hyped Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, set to open this month in the Gaslamp Quarter. The 12-story, 315,000-square-foot luxury hotel boasts 420 suites, with 17 Rock Star Suites (including one designed by Fergie and her Black Eyed Peas mates), the Nobu restaurant featuring renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, a fourth-floor urban garden, retro coffee shop and spa.
