Panini at NP3: North Park Panini Place are so good they stood out even on a full stomach at the end of Taste of North Park.

Mechanic:
Del Mar Car Service is Honest, affordable, and an awesome place to get your car worked on. They tell it how it is and don’t try and talk you into getting anything you don’t need. They’ve been around about a hundred years, and even have an old picture of soldiers marching past.

Casual Dining and Drinking:
West Coast Tavern’s Bourbon Bar serves hard-to-find bourbons, and the menu is pretty amazing too. Lots of small plates, and most things are less than $9.

Pizza:
They say all good things come to those who wait. One of the newest pizza shops in town, Berkeley Pizza, is up-front about the time it takes to cook a pie: “about an hour.” The result is a delicious deep-dish pizza requiring a knife and fork.

Bar:
Celebrate the wonders of aluminum at Tin Can Ale House, where more than 30 beers are available, mostly in cans. It’s like your own personal keg! With live music most nights, an amazing jukebox, cheap food and bicyclist-friendly activities on Monday nights.
