The olive oil is from Greece, some of the cheeses are from Italy, and the salad fixings are from local farmers. But no matter where this gourmet restaurant’s ingredients come from, Pizzicato pizzas are made in-house and from scratch. Warm up to the colorful interior with the carne quattro formaggi, made with mozzarella, chevre, fontina, Gorgonzola, Italian sausage, mushrooms and roasted garlic cloves on a garlic–and–olive oil base. Customers who think they can do better can build their own pizza by choosing the ingredients, or opt for a salad or panini sandwich. Lunch & dinner daily. 2420 Fifth Ave., Bankers Hill, 619-232-9000, pizzicatopizza.com. B&W, CR, $$
