Palomar Pomerado Health

OVERVIEW

For more than 50 years, Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) has been serving inland North County with a hospital district of 850 square miles, the largest hospital district in California.

PPH was named one of San Diego’s Best Places to Work by San Diego Magazine in 2006. Many of our physicians were also named Top Doctors by the magazine as well.  PPH also received the prestigious Marble Award for workplace excellence, presented by the San Diego chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management—the highest award for workplace excellence.

In addition to the workplace awards, California’s largest public health district has received the following accolades:

  • The Association of California Health Care Districts’ Special Achievement Award.
  • PPH featured in US News & World Report for our outstanding cardiac care. The recognition specifically touted our participation in the American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines program.
  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services presented PPH with the Medal of Honor for commitment to organ donations.
  • The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations selected PPH as one of 10 health systems across the country to participate in a pilot project to address any gaps in current systems and how we find solutions to challenges in the healthcare setting.
  • Our architects Anshen + Allen received a Citation of Merit by Healthcare Design magazine for its PPH facilities designs.
