Land Enthusiasts
Pay a visit to the Big Island’s Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, and you’ll understand why it’s the state’s most popular attraction. Here, you can hike across black lava fields, search for ne-ne- (Hawaiian geese) and admire endangered flora, but a trek through a massive lava tube could be one of your most epic excursions yet. To make the most of the area, go on the Ki-lauea Volcano Adventure tour with a Hawai‘i Forest & Trail naturalist. They’ll do all the driving, and teach you about the volcano’s cultural significance, too.
