The theme of this year’s San Diego County Fair, June 8–July 4 (excepting June 11, 12, 18, 19 and 25) at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, is “Salute to Heroes,” celebrating “international, national and local heroes, both human and animal.” Alongside the exhibits, vendors and rides, the Summer Concert Series features major recording artists, bands and comedians on the Grandstand Stage. The San Diego Symphony uncorks its 2007 Summer Pops season with Star-Spangled Pops performances June 29–July 1 at 7:30 in Embarcadero Marina Park South.
