Jimmy Choo + H&M: Yes!
Plus: Fall fashion ... already
SAN DIEGO FASHION
Fall fashion is here. Yes, already! We’re still fighting June gloom but, like it or not, fall fashion is out there in the shadows — and boy is it fantastic!
While you might think, "Fall is already here? Where's summer?” In the fashion world, summer is the pass-through for everyone waiting for the fall lines to land in the stores. The spring season is important for looks and styles because it carries us into both spring and summer. We never buy too big in the summer, and we reuse spring items and maybe grab a few more tops — along with those white pants we've been dying to wear all year.
If you’re like me, you might feel like fashion speeds up your life. You walk through the stores in late July, and there on the table staring right at you are long sleeves and heavy jackets. Already at Macy’s you can buy some fabulous suede boots (which I currently own, as I could not walk away from them). I know some of you may be upset over this, as you would like to enjoy your fun, flirty dresses and strappy shoes. I feel your pain, it is summer and I'm already having to currently purchase for the holiday season — which is really winter.
For those of you who are sad to see summer styles pushed out of the store, I have two words for you: Jimmy Choo!
Jimmy Choo and H&M are joining forces for fall. No, you’re not dreaming. It has finally happened: There are beautifully crafted and fantastically styled shoes for all of us. Starting November 14, you can find Jimmy Choo on the shelves at select H&M stores.
H&M, in my opinion, has its hand on the pulse in the fashion world. Jimmy Choo is just one of the top-notch brands H&M has teamed up with, along with Stella McCartney, Madonna and Kylie Minogue. Could this company be heading in a better direction right now?
Since H&M opened in Fashion Valley, I take my clients there for great staple work items at unbelievable prices. Lately, I hear it seems to sell to the “younger crowd.” Well, hold on to your hats, because those over 30 can get their entire work wardrobe there. You can find suit jackets, fabulous blouses, trousers, beautiful scarves, great work bags and now Jimmy Choo shoes! Not only can you style yourself head to toe for work, but also for evenings and weekends.
Currently, H&M also has amazing dresses, with beautiful floral patterns and vibrant colors that will make a huge statement this summer. I urge you to check it out! Do not walk, you should run to the store as soon as possible!
Although some of us may think this is fantastic news, there are others that think this is bad move for high-end designers. I say to everyone, shouldn't fashion always be affordable?
