Five for Sighting
The California Center for the Arts, Escondido Museum opens five exhibitions that examine issues of contemporary American life, June 28 through November 30. Owen Mundy’s “Active Duty” views the transformations of military men. “Contemporary Ruin,” prints from 31 members of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society, looks unsparingly at modern ruins. The multilayered installation “United and Severed: That Window of Time” is drawn from the experiences of women living with traumatic injuries. “Warning Signs: Prints by R.H. Vanishing Point

Makings of the Melting Pot
