One of Florence’s favorite sons releases his new line in the U.S.
Selling out within hours of their debut, Roberto Cavalli’s designs are as popular with the general public as they are with celebrities. Like other designers, such as Vera Wang for Kohl’s, Cavalli recently created a more affordable line. Cavalli’s long awaited collection for H&M hit stores November 8, and instantly became this season’s new must-have.
A favorite among stars on the red carpet, including Jennifer Lopez (whose stage outfits on tour are exclusively from Cavalli), Christina Aguilera, Halle Barry, and Beyonce, Cavalli had no reservations in designing a line for H&M. With figure-flattering cuts and animal prints, the collection includes styles signature to the 67-year-old Italian.
From dresses and coats to lingerie, the women’s line is designed with leopard and zebra prints, metallic studs, sequins, and gold embellishments—all providing unique glamour and elegance. While the little black dress is safe and conventional, Cavalli’s animal print silk chiffon baby doll dress is bold and sexy. Donned with Cavalli accessories, such as a pearl pendant or a gold cuff bracelet, with leopard print Mary Janes or gold sandals, you’ll be a red carpet ready.
The men’s collection is simple, yet sophisticated, with everything from leather jackets and everyday jeans to sharp black tuxedos. There’s also underwear and accessories, which include jersey boxer shorts, ties, belts and boots and accessories like necklaces and cufflinks.
Often compared to legendary designer Gianni Versace, Cavalli creates impeccable designs with fashionable taste. Made with the same luxurious quality and inspiration as all other Cavalli designs, the new H&M collection is on par with any outfit seen on a Hollywood celebrity.
