San Diego’s oldest philanthropic tradition, the Charity Ball benefitting Rady Children’s Hospital, celebrated its 100th anniversary with a gala in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel del Coronado. “A Centennial Celebration” was chaired by a committee of former ball chairs, led by Carol Chang and Sandy Walrod. The evening featured a formal black-tie dinner and dancing to the tunes of the Society Beat orchestra. Proceeds go to Rady Children’s new Patient Care Pavilion, scheduled for completion in 2010.
