The American Heart Association hosted the eighth annual Go Red for Women Luncheon at the Hotel del Coronado to raise awareness and funds for the battle against heart disease, the number-one killer of women in the United States. Dr. Elizabeth Barrett-Connor of the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine delivered the keynote presentation. CBS 8 anchorwoman Barbara-Lee Edwards emceed. Myssie McCann was luncheon chair; Dianne York-Goldman was the 2008 Circle of Red chairwoman.
