| Description |
This fifth-annual event will honor organizations, attorneys and law students who help Casa Cornelia Law Center provide pro bono legal assistance to victims of persecution, torture, and domestic violence. La Mancha Award recipients will include Attorney of the Year Jessica Ederer and Morrison & Foerster LLP, which will receive Casa Cornelia’s 2012 Law Firm of the Year Award. The Society of the Holy Child Jesus American Province will be honored for its outstanding support of Casa Cornelia’s mission.
Inn Of Court, Pro Bono Publico Awards will be presented to volunteer attorneys Elizabeth L. Brann and Kimberley A. Donohue of Paul Hastings LLP; Aubrey A. Haddach of Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch, LLP; Kimberly Hyde, Kamla A. Topsey and Christina D. Yates of DLA Piper; Rose F. Luzon of Shepherd, Finkelman, Miller & Shah, LLP; Jose L. Patiño of Jones Day; Hillary H. Steenberge of Latham & Watkins LLP; and Lori P. Westin of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Special Recognition Awards will go to law students Mariam Babayan and Elyse Fune of the University of San Diego School of Law; Blanca Hernandez of the University of San Diego; Jessica Taylor of the University of San Diego School of Law; Roya Bahrami of the University of Wisconsin Law School; Jessica Enriquez, Sarah Hudson and Michelle Stavros of the California Western School of Law; and Antonio Estrada of San Diego State University. Denise C. Harder of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps will also receive a Special Recognition Award. |
