Beauty by Dolly Matches Donations to American Heart Association

Date/Time

Feb 1, 2014 to Feb 28, 2014

Description

San Diego’s premiere hair removal studio, Beauty by Dolly, celebrates American Heart Month in February by shining a spotlight on the number one cause of death for Americans - heart disease. From now until Feb. 28, 2014, any donations made toward the San Diego Division of the American Heart Association through the Beauty by Dolly fundraising page will be doubled through a matching donation of up to $1,500 from the hair removal studio. “Supporting Heart Month in February is a cause that has recently become close to me and my family,” said Dolly Bakshai, Beauty by Dolly founder & CEO. “Our goal this month is to use our presence in the community as a way to spread awareness on cardiovascular diseases.” Beauty by Dolly Founders, Dolly Bakshai and Kashmira Torki were faced with their mother’s death caused by an unforeseen aneurysm in December 2013. Every Friday during the month of February, Beauty by Dolly’s team of “browists” and “waxperts” will be wearing red in support of American Heart Month. The American Heart Association in San Diego works to make an impact by empowering the community to live healthier lives and enjoy more peace of mind about heart disease and stroke. Donations made will go to the American Heart Association to support its mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke No purchase is necessary to participate in the Beauty by Dolly fundraiser to benefit the San Diego Division of the American Heart Association. Community members can make donations directly to honor.americanheart.org/goto/beautybydolly.
