A record-breaking crowd of 47,339 donned their finest suits and biggest hats to celebrate opening day at the Del Mar Racetrack on July 18. The track, “Where the Turf Meets the Surf,” is celebrating 75 years of history as one of Southern California’s favorite summertime destinations.
