Artisan Corner coming to Gucci Fashion Valley

(Not) made in Italy

By BILL PRESANT

Gucci’s Fashion Valley store will host an “Artisan Corner” this month. During the exclusive event, customers can watch craftsmen from the House of Gucci assemble some of the brand’s signature handbag designs, revamped in contemporary styles by Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini. Shoppers can also learn more about the design process from mood board to sketch, and can personalize their purchases with limited-edition skins, colors, and hand-embossed monogramming. See the tools of the trade (and maybe snatch a new bag) at this three-day public viewing, running from Wednesday, October 16 to Friday, October 18.
