Il Saliceto, a Portico Property, sleeps 14 in Southern Tuscany
Rent a villa, get a valet
A new service will hook you up with concierge, housekeeping, and a discount
One of the drawbacks of renting a villa or private home on vacay is that you don’t get the service you would at a five-star resort. Enter new travel biz Portico Club—its agents will book your digs, customize an itinerary, and arrange for personal concierge, daily housekeeping, and more at 150-plus properties. They also coordinate vacays at certain resorts and hotels, like the Viceroy Anguilla and Cabo’s Esperanza. Perhaps the best part, though, is the discount, as Portico secures rates that typically save members $400 per night. Launched in January 2012, it plans to have 300 properties in 100 destinations by the end of this year. porticoclub.com
