It's a HARD ROCK Life

WHEN I LOOK at [San Diego], it feels like Miami did years ago, with the vitality and anticipation to take off,” says nightlife impresario Rande Gerber, known from Manhattan to Madrid for his Whiskey Bars and lounges (and supermodel wife, Cindy Crawford). “It’s exciting to be part of a city with such spirit and people who are ready to shake it up a bit.”

Gerber designed the lobby lounge and rooftop bar of the heavily hyped Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, set to open this month in the Gaslamp Quarter. The 12-story, 315,000-square-foot luxury hotel boasts 420 suites, with 17 Rock Star Suites (including one designed by Fergie and her Black Eyed Peas mates), the Nobu restaurant featuring renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, a fourth-floor urban garden, retro coffee shop and spa. Expect the franchise’s signature rock ’n’ roll attitude throughout. More information: Call 866-751-ROCK or visit hardrockhotelsd.com.
