November 7:

The experiences of deployed female soldiers come to light in Women at War, a true-to-life play at CSU San Marcos (through 11/10). 

Get holiday cooking ideas from chef Brian Malarkey at Thanksgiving Feast: Recipes & Ideas, complete with a family-style dinner, at Farmer and the Seahorse. 

 

November 8:

Catch more than 150 films from over 20 countries during the San Diego Asian Film Festival, held at various theaters (through 11/17). 

Mexican singer Alejandro “The Colt” Fernández brings his pop and ranchera music to Valley View Casino Center alongside Los Tigres del Norte

Add dessert to your San Diego Beer Week itinerary with an SDBW Beer & Ice Cream Pairing at Longship Brewery.

 

November 9:

The action—and big hats—return to Del Mar Racetrack for its Fall Racing Festival, formerly known as Bing Crosby Season (through 12/2). 

California Ballet Company brings fire and passion to the stage with the new production Noche Latina for two days at Balboa Theatre. 

Watch four days’ worth of documentaries, shorts, features, and classics from the Coronado Island Film Festival, held at multiple venues. 

Iconic singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones performs hits from her five-decade career, like “Chuck E.’s in Love,” at Copley Symphony Hall, joined by special guest Anders Osborne

 

November 10:

Salute retired service members in the San Diego Veterans Day Parade along Harbor Drive. 

Hear the eclectic sounds of global psychedelic band Khruangbin at the Observatory North Park.

 

November 11:

Looking for Christmas, a heartwarming musical inspired by country star Clint Black’s holiday album, premieres at The Old Globe (through 12/16). 

Raise a glass during the weeklong San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, featuring more than 40 events leading up to a grand tasting at Embarcadero Marina Park North on the 17th.
