San Diego plays host to Southern California’s largest food and wine festival, for a weeklong celebration of over 40 citywide events, including these can’t miss experiences:
Pitmaster’s Veterans Day Barbecue | Sunday, November 11 - Celebrity chef and television personality, Graham Elliot hosts a barbecue at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa in celebration of Veteran’s Day. Executive Chef Michael Poompan of the Coronado Island Marriott is joined by Chef Ami Cisneros of Grand Ole BBQ to fire up grills for a family-friendly day on the bay. Pop The Corks and Late Night Eats | Thursday, November 15 – An all star cast of celebrity chefs invite you to pop the corks and indulge in an evening of spectacular dining stations, signature cocktails and legendary wineries all punctuated with silent and live auctions. The Grand Decant Wine Tasting | Friday, November 16 – Join the country’s top sommeliers, wineries and winemakers for tasting to expand your palate from more than 200 domestic and international wineries representing over 500 wines.
Femme de la Fork | Friday, November 16 – Tracy Borkum and the team at Cucina Enoteca Del Mar host an incredible night featuring three powerhouse chefs making waves on the national food scene. Chefs Domenica Catelli, Duskie Estes and Gale Gand dish inspired dishes paired with wines crafted by female winemakers.
Grand Tasting | Saturday, November 17 – The awe-inspiring San Diego Bay plays host to the city’s biggest foodie party of the year in a picture perfect celebration of everything delicious. Taste from over 50 celebrity chefs and restaurants, hundreds of domestic and international wine, beer and spirit purveyors and gourmet food companies amidst a stunning, coastal backdrop with sail boats floating. Television personality and San Diego Magazine Food Critic, Troy Johnson is set to serve as Grand Marshal of the Festival, and welcomes guest with a Champagne saber demo to officially open the festivities.
Bar Tiki After Party | Saturday, November 17 – San Diego’s Tiki Takeover has transformed tropical inspired cocktails and Polynesian cuisine and transported it to an era of master mixologists and celebrity chef-worthy status.
