Leo Hamel Opens Handbag Shop in Mission Hills

The fine jeweler's new consignment concept invites shoppers to sell their designer goods and buy them, too

Published:

Everything old can be new again: Leo Hamel Boutique & Consignment Shop recently opened in Mission Hills, offering new and like-new designer bags, shoes, and more. The fine jeweler took a cue from its clientele, who frequently requested more of its small sampling of vintage handbags, Hermès scarves, and other accessories. Now those looking to sell can bring their clean and rack-ready goods into the shop, just two doors down from the company’s existing space in Old Town, and earn back 50 percent of the purchase price. Those looking to buy can expect fair prices slightly lower than retail and a fully authenticated range of luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Jimmy Choo, YSL, and Christian Louboutin. Leo Hamel’s team of trained, in-house fashion experts thoroughly examines every item before it’s accepted for consignment. Authentication is brand specific and generally consists of an inspection for appropriate brand markings, date codes, serial tags, stitch work, and condition. Regret, sell, buy, love. It’s the fashion circle of life.
