Where to Celebrate Veterans Day in San Diego

November 11 is Veterans Day. Here's how and where to celebrate.

10 a.m.–4 p.m. The Parade Band Foundation hosts a dozen high school marching bands in the Liberty Station Band Review, with a parade, judging, military salute, and food festival.

10 a.m.–4 p.m. The USS Midway Museum throws its family-friendly “Salute to Service” festival.

11 a.m.–1 p.m. Take the trolley to the Veterans Day Parade, which starts near the County Administration Building on North Harbor Drive.

2 p.m. The Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial holds its annual ceremony with a tribute to a local veteran or group.

Nov. 12: Silver Strand Veterans Day Half Marathon, 10-Miler, and 5K Run/Walk offers discounts for all branches of the military and their families, and benefits the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
