An Irreplaceable Look
Local label Bcat Threads offers a classic feminine style
“In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.”
— Coco Chanel
Welcome everyone!
What makes one person different from everyone else? This is such a complex question, especially when it comes to fashion. Each season styles change and we try to jump on the fashion wagon and wear the trends. Time and time again we find ourselves showing up someplace with the exact outfit on as another person. How humiliated do you feel when this happens?
We all want to stand out among the crowd. One way to stand out and be different: Find local designers! There are so many here in San Diego with amazing talents. They make one-of-a-kind pieces that are really different and make your look irreplaceable. I guarantee you will find something to make your outfit fabulous.
The feminine look is huge this spring and will remain well into summer. Spring brings a change in all of us. We shed away our layers and want to show off our feminine side. This brings me to a designer whose pieces exemplify this femininity — Brooke Catherine. Brooke is a local designer, and the creator of a beautiful line called Bcat Threads. Although Brooke does not have a storefront, you will not be disappointed with her online store.
Brooke lives here and I encourage everyone to get to know her line! Each piece is perfect on its own or combined with another Bcat item. The Bcat pieces have a very feminine and classic style, and the fit is fantastic; try one on and I guarantee you will not want to take it off! With Bcat’s style, you’re sure to find something you will love this season — a piece that you want to incorporate in every outfit you wear. I found my perfect piece for the season and am excited to share it with everyone.
Let's talk about her amazing high-waist skirt. This little beauty covers up everything, is figure-friendly, and the trend is so hot right now it's ridiculous. Brooke put a modern twist on the skirt while also throwing in some vintage romance. The skirt has a ruffle waistline detailed with two gold buttons and a tulip shape that’s perfect for an hourglass figure. It fits well in the hips and comes to the knee. To balance out the volume in the skirt, opt for a fitted top and pair it with some killer heels for an overall polished look.
I think Bcat Threads is different and, in my eyes, irreplaceable.
