Dynamic Duo

Mark your calendar for a wine-pairing dinner at Tommy V’s in Del Mar

Published:

Kimberly Jones and master sommelier Chris Blanchard of Kimberly Jones Selections, the premier Napa broker, have partnered with chef Georgio Loverde for a spectacular evening of fine wine and food on March 14. Jones represents exceptional boutique wineries from Napa, Paso Robles, Mendocino and France, to name a few vintner havens. The six-course affair features provocative pairings such as Goerg Tradition Champagne from Vertus, France, with pancetta-wrapped prawns. Fresh mushroom ravioli with sage butter and black truffles is accompanied by a beautiful Burgundy-style 2008 Abigail Adams Cameo Pinot Noir. A seductive full-bodied 2006 Altamura Sangiovese, with notes of sweet tobacco, plum and black cherries, makes a noble companion to chef’s prime New York steak and lobster. $95 per person.
