Calling all amateur photographers: The Flower Fields in Carlsbad annual photo contest runs from March 1 to May 8, and there is no fee to enter and no limit on submissions. All photos must be taken of the Flower Fields (we can hear the sniffles of hay fever now). If you’d like a few free tips, stop by the fields on April 17, when the folks from Canon lead a photography workshop that’s free with park admission. theflowerfields.com.
