Patté Party
More than 450 theater artists and fans attended the 12th annual Patté Awards for Theater Excellence, created and hosted by theater critic and arts writer Pat Launer, at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter. Thirty awards were presented in 12 categories, with winners representing 17 local theater companies.
Launer also presented the Patté Theater Angel Award to San Diego County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price and the Shiley Lifetime Achievement Award, underwritten by local philanthropists and longtime Patté supporters Darlene and Donald Shiley, to Leon Nat ker and J. Sherwood Montgomery. Dea and Osborn Hurston were honorary chairs; Julie Sarno was event chair.
