June 3:

Say kanpai to Japanese spirits at the Beer & Sake Festival, presented by the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana at Harrah’s Resort Southern California.

Take a trip to Wonderland as the San Diego County Fair channels Lewis Carroll for its 2016 “Mad About the Fair” theme. Through July 4.

June 5:

Kick off a summer of pool parties during Summersalt’s Reggae Sunday at the Hotel Palomar.

Line the streets in support of runners going the distance at the San Diego Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon, which starts in Balboa Park before a strong finish downtown.

June 11:

Get in on the action at the Liberty Station Summer Block Party, showcasing the urban village’s culinary and arts scene.

Celebrate the 30th anniversary—and new incarnation—of the San Diego Festival of the Arts, formerly known as the La Jolla Festival of the Arts, with two days of painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and more, now at the Waterfront Park.

June 12:

“Pucker up for hours of sours” during the Stone Sour Fest at Stone Brewing Escondido.

June 13:

If you’re lucky enough to score StubHub tickets, spend one of two nights under the stars with music legend Bob Dylan and His Band at his sold-out show at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay.

June 15:

Don your best stretchy pants and partake in way too much pasta at the indulgent Taste of Little Italy.

June 16:

Mix and mingle with the city’s best chefs and sample their signature bites during San Diego Magazine’s Best Restaurants Party at Pirch UTC.

Grab your boo and a blanket and head to Balboa Park for the Netflix and Chill Fest, an open-air cinematic experience hitting cities across the world.

June 17:  

Shuck ’em at San Diego Oysterfest, two days of live music and mollusks at Embarcadero Marina Park North.

Hop heads descend on the Del Mar Fairgrounds for three days and hundreds of beers during the San Diego International Beer Festival.

June 19:

Treat Dad to a Father’s Day Beach BBQ at Hotel del Coronado, featuring a live concert by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.

Get spooked at the Old Globe as Macbeth kicks off this season’s Summer Shakespeare Festival. Through July 24.

June 25:

Hit the beach for street fair fun and spicy competition at the OB Street Fair and Chili Cook-off.

June 26:

Celebrate health, wellness, and community with like-minded fitness fans at Daileyfest in Seaport Village.

Browse the eclectic goods and eats in University Heights, Normal Heights, and Kensington during Taste of Adams Avenue.

Take a self-guided tour of more than 30 Gaslamp Quarter restaurants at the Taste of Gaslamp.
