The Fossil Ball

San Diego Museum of Natural History March 9, 2013

Nearly 200 guests donned exotic prints and flocked to The Nat for its second annual Fossil Ball, celebrating the museum’s research collection of 7.3 million specimens. A costumed snake charmer greeted patrons and posed for pictures, in keeping with the vintage carnival theme of Dr. Entomo’s Palace of Exotic Wonders, on exhibit through June 2 at the museum. Reception highlights featured table décor with 5-foot-tall lantern-abras and catering by The Wild Thyme Company, 3E Wines, and CRG mixologists, plus paperweight party favors courtesy of glass artist Robin Lehman. The event raised about $120,000.
