Kyoto Prize Symposium
The benefit gala for the ninth Kyoto Prize Symposium, signaling the start of three days of festivities celebrating recipients of the Kyoto Prize, was held at the San Diego Marriot Hotel & Marina. This year, Dr. Isamu Akasaki, Drs. Peter and Rosemary Grant and Maestro Pierre Boulez were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the world’s scientific, cultural and spiritual development. Event chairs were Dr. Irwin Jacobs and Conrad Prebys.
