On the Ball
Maureen and Charlie King chaired the 39th annual Mercy Ball, “Simply Elegant,” at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Attended by more than 400 guests, this year’s ball raised a record-breaking $1.7 million for surgical and cancer care services at Scripps Mercy Hospital. On the ball committee: Mary Braunwarth, Karen and Tom Gammiere, Jerry Henberger, Todd Hoff, Barbara Menard, Chris Nicholson, Dr. Valerie Norton, Lois and Dr. William Stanton, Diana Totman, Linda Townson and Rita Waters. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of an anonymous $1.5 million gift facilitated by Kaye and Dick Woltman. --Photos by Carol Sonstein
