You have crime drama experience—CSI: Miami? Playing the bad guy gives you more freedom to explore without committing a crime or breaking any laws!
You grew up in Chula Vista and Point Loma. Ever come back and visit? I like to see friends and family at least once every eight weeks. We go to Candelas in Coronado or take walks in La Jolla or Balboa Park.
Tell us about your new movie. Savages follows two beach-bum marijuana dealers (Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson) that run afoul of a Mexican cartel headed by a ruthless queen-pin (Salma Hayek), who kidnaps the duo’s girlfriend (Blake Lively). I play Jaime, the accountant and negotiator for the cartel, alongside its enforcer, Lado (Benicio Del Toro).
What’s Oliver Stone like? Working with him is scary and thrilling—he knows what he wants and you have to be ready to bring it! No wasting time or goofing around.
