Why We Love It

It’s finally done! Restoration of this 104-year-old bridge had been promised for almost 10 years, and there’s no better way to scope it out than with an urban hike and scenic loop through Balboa Park.

Where to Refuel

Grab a salad, sandwich—consider the Cali Cubano—and macaroons at the new location of Big Front Door (4075 Park Boulevard, University Heights) or go for a more upscale brunch at the nearby Great Maple (1451 Washington Street, Hillcrest).
