San Diego Magazine Launches Brand New Logo
San Diego, CA – (December 15, 2011) San Diego Magazine, San Diego’s leading lifestyle publication, announced the launch of their new logo today. This is the first time in 35 years that there has been a change to San Diego Magazine’s iconic block letter logo.
“Our current editorial and design team have done a wonderful job of breathing new life into our 64 years young magazine,” says Jim Fitzpatrick, CEO & Publisher of San Diego Magazine, “We decided as a company that it was time for a new logo to reflect that fresh, contemporary energy and launch us into 2012 with a much needed update.”

The new logo will make its debut on sandiegomagazine.com today and will appear on the cover of the January 2012 issue, out on newsstands Friday, December 23, 2011.
“This is something that we have talked about for years, and we are so thrilled to show off our new look,” says Laurie Nicoud, Creative Director of San Diego Magazine, “The content and feel of the magazine has changed dramatically in the last few years and updating the logo is the perfect way to top it off. We chose this logo because it’s timeless and mirrors the fun yet sophisticated feel of the city we represent. ”
