A Tale of The Sublime

Published:

Sublime Ale House is a mecca for San Marcos families and craft beer aficionados, and it’s the passion project of James Limjoco. The rustic tavern is home to hundreds of local and global beers that complement chef Tanner’s burgers and other fare. The Sublime Mac ‘n Cheese, a caloric big daddy of gooey sharp cheddar cheese, béchamel sauce with chicken, mushrooms, bacon, and drizzled with truffle oil, is served piping hot with a Parmesan breadcrumb crust. A juicy burger like the Slap Yo Mama is another great bet—how can you go wrong with melted Brie and bacon jam on Angus beef? Knock back a fine Moylan’s Dragoons Irish Stout ale or a tasting flight of San Diego’s finest in this low-fi setting, the new vortex of the North County Beer Triangle.
