Start at the Old Mission Dam in Mission Trails Regional Park and follow the signs for Oak Canyon Trail.

Why We Love It

This trail is secluded and quiet, perfect for a nature hike, but short and flat enough that it’s also great for kids.

 

Where to Refuel

Get an asparagus omelet or breakfast sandwich at Janet’s Cafe and Deli (9225 Carlton Hills Boulevard, Santee) or try Fifty-Two East Neighborhood Eatery (9621 Mission Gorge Road 101, Santee), now open for brunch.
