February 18:

Get your creative juices flowing during the four-day Writer’s Symposium by the Sea, featuring Jody Hassett Sanchez, Nnedi Okorafor, E. J. Dionne, Christian Wiman, and others at Point Loma Nazarene University. 

 

February 19:

Watch the extraordinary story of Princess Diana’s life in the public eye, chronicled in La Jolla Playhouse’s world-premiere musical Diana (through 4/07). 

 

February 20:

Discover “a whole new world” all over again at the Civic Theatre in Disney’s Aladdin, the beloved Broadway musical complete with magic carpet rides and a genie (through March 3).  

Wartime drama Gabriel at North Coast Repertory Theatre tells a tale of loss and danger on the Nazi-occupied Isle of Guernsey (through 3/17). 

 

February 21:

Pop icon Justin Timberlake brings sexy back to Pechanga Arena in The Man of the Woods Tour. 

San Diego Museum of Art showcases José María Sert's art focused on the legend of Sinbad the Sailor, along with drinks and entertainment at its latest Culture & Cockails.

 

February 22:

Join the three-day San Diego Jazz Party for classic tunes from 21 artists at Hilton San Diego/Del Mar. 

Enjoy A Celebration of Frank Sinatra with Michael Feinstein at Copley Symphony Hall, wherein a prominent cabaret artist and his trio will perform Ol’ Blue Eyes’ classics with contemporary twists. 

Behold the mystifying tricks of headlining magicians Penn & Teller at Harrah’s Resort Southern California. 

Indulge in pairings of Girl Scout cookies and local craft beer from Stone, Hess and AleSmith at their Cookies on Tap events.

 

February 23:

Carbs and pliés collide at The Observatory North Park for California Ballet’s Beer & Ballet mixer with company dancers, following a performance of new choreography. 

Put on your tux or ballgown for the San Diego Opera Lover’s Ball at The US Grant hotel, honoring local philanthropists Frank and Lee Goldberg and their contribution to local arts, health, and education organizations. 

 

February 24: 

Stand-up comedian and actor Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation, Master of None) stops by Copley Symphony Hall for a sold-out show on his Road to Nowhere Tour. 

Sip craft beer from California and beyond at the San Diego Winter Brew Fest, including live music, food, and other vendors at Fleet Science Center. 

Spend An Evening with Gregory Porter at Balboa Theatre to hear jazz vocals from this Grammy Award–winning musician.
