Ahead of a live-action remake of the ’90s animated film, a stage rendition of Disney’s Aladdin hits the Civic Theatre this month.
The star-studded production is packed with Tony Award winning talent—director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon) and costumes by Gregg Barnes (Kinky Boots)—and the same time-honored tale of the original film: One genie, three wishes, and an unlikely romance challenged by hierarchical stresses.
