By Claire Trageser

Difficulty Level

4-mile run, Cancbe extended

Where

Start at the corner of Cushing and Chauncey roads in northeast Liberty Station. Follow the dirt path along the water, then the pedestrian bridge across to Harbor Drive. Turn around at Cancer Survivors Park.

What to look for

The USS Recruit, a frigate built into the ground near the pedestrian bridge.

Why We Love It

Even if you know Liberty Station inside and out, you might not have noticed these winding dirt trails. Loop around them to get lost without ever getting too far away.

Where to Refuel Afterward

Check out the new Liberty Public Market (2820 Historic Decatur Road), which has everything from empanadas to gourmet cheese, plus Le Parfait Paris bakery and the in-house restaurant Mess Hall.
