February 9:

Founded by alumni of the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexion Contemporary Ballet fuses hip-hop, contemporary, and ballet styles into one performance at California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

Vocalist Charenée Wade pays tribute to musical greats like Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson through jazz, R&B, and vocal improv at The Loft at UCSD.

February 10:

Ham it up on the hard court with the Harlem Globetrotters at Valley View Casino Center (also on February 17).

Enjoy two days packed with the finer things in life at the ninth annual Pechanga Wine Festival and Chocolate Decadence, benefiting Habitat for Humanity.

February 11:

Raise a beer and toast to women’s health at the eighth annual Brewbies Craft Beer Festival at Bagby Beer Co. in Oceanside.

Cluck in the Year of the Rooster at the weekend Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair in downtown San Diego.

Sail the seven seas—or at least the San Diego Bay—with your significant other on the historic tall ship San Salvador at the Maritime Museum’s Sweetheart Sail (also February 12).

Celebrate love and friendship the rock ‘n’ roll way at Suzie’s Farm’s Sweetheart Dance.

February 12:

See Special Agent Fox Mulder as you’ve never seen him before, when David Duchovny plays with his band at The Music Box in Little Italy.

Take in a happy hour showing of Breakfast at Tiffany’s on the silver screen at Cinema@the Balboa.
