Bitter Brothers Brewing Co. has opened in Bay Ho, complete with an in-house production facility, 700-square-foot tasting room, and 25-foot bar.

2.

George’s at the Cove is unveiling George’s Gastrobar, a cocktail-focused food and drink lounge adjacent to its rooftop restaurant, George’s Ocean Terrace.

Culinary Institute of America alum Tae Dickey brings wood-fired pizza, gelato, wine, and coffee to his fast-casual downtown concept Biga.

Lobster West is planning a second location in Coronado set to debut this spring.

Backed by Fluxx managing partner Jeffrey Fink and BiCE chef Mario Cassineri, Madison opened its doors in the former Lei Lounge space in University Heights.

Tajima has launched a fourth outpost of its popular Japanese ramen house in the East Village, with interiors designed by Paul Basile.

7.

Downtown gains a new Mexican food stop with The Taco Stand, a La Jolla–based taqueria inspired by Tijuana street fare.

Sandwiches, salads, and craft beer will converge at Moto Deli in Encinitas this spring.

Little Italy’s Craft & Commerce is expected to open this spring with a refreshed look, plus a new interior tiki bar, False Idol, co-run by CH Projects and San Francisco–based rum expert Martin Cate.

In other tiki news, the Caribbean-inspired Miss B’s Coconut Club is slated for a spring opening in Mission Beach. Cheers!
