Difficulty Level
Easy

Distance
3.2 miles out
and back

Location
La Jolla

Get there: The path starts at Colima Street between La Jolla Hermosa Avenue and La Jolla Boulevard. Follow it north to La Canada Street, then go right for half a block to pick up the dirt path.

Why We Love It: This path feels like a hidden passageway between Pacific Beach and La Jolla. Park in the less congested North PB area and then enjoy the flat trail with plenty of shade. When the trail ends at Nautilus Street, turn around or continue along La Jolla Boulevard. For a bigger workout, follow Nautilus uphill to La Jolla Scenic Drive, and then loop through La Jolla Mesa Drive back to your starting point.

Where to refuel afterwards: Bird Rock Coffee on La Jolla Boulevard.
