Held at The Grand Del Mar, the 79th annual Candlelight Ball raised in excess of $3 million to support Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. More than $16 million has been raised during Betty Knight Scripps’ chairmanship over the past six years. Among patrons were Scripps president and CEO Chris Van Gorder and wife Rosemary, senior vice president and chief development officer John Engle and wife Cherie, Julianne and Jack Ford, and Sharon and Skeets Dunn.
