This fine dinning is nestled away in the center of the famous Balboa park near downtown San Diego. It's a simply amazing establishment. The ambiance is priceless, and stunning! If you visit this restaurant for the weekend you should not be surprised to see a bride and groom near the outdoor water fall being photographed for memories they will cherish for a lifetime. If price is no object, and you would like to make a good impression The Prado is the way to go. The staff is very knowledgeable and will help pronounce things on the menu that you otherwise would totally destroy, and discreetly let you know that calimari is squid. My wife and I ate here the night before we were married and we have never been to a more "snooty" restaurant. We enjoyed making fun of the waiter's French accent once he left the table, and pretending to be rich for the night. The atmosphere is spectacular! At night the lights of the park make you feel like you're in the movies! I defiantly recommend the Prado to those looking to make an impression.
