It’s a Wonderful Live Show

Published:

Cygnet Theater, Daren Scott

Nostalgia is on our Christmas list this season because it’s the sixth and final year to see It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Set in the 1940s, five actors gather in Studio A of WCYG Radio to reenact the story of good guy George Bailey working through a life crisis with the help of Clarence the affable angel. The small cast performs all the characters’ voices—and the sound effects, to boot. Adapted by Joe Landry and directed by Sean Murray, this show-within-a-show adds another layer to the holiday classic you already know and love. Nov. 30-Dec. 31. Tickets, $19-$54. cygnettheatre.com
