STARSTRUCK: Voices for Children hosted its annual “Starry, Starry Night” fund-raiser at the Point Loma home of Rebecca and Craig Irving. NBC 7/39 anchor Rory Devine and KPRI 102.1 deejay Robert Hughes shared emcee duties; Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille prepared the gourmet fare. Juvenile Court Judge Cynthia Bashant described the difficult reality facing kids in San Diego’s foster-care system. Giving voice to the cause were patrons Patsy and David Marino, Sheryl and Bob Scarano, Rochelle and Bill Bold, Scott and Ilia Dickey, Susan and Craig McClellan, Noni and Dr. Drew Senyei, Janice Sammartino and Herbert Hoffman, Fran and Larry Irving, Caroline and Tony Farwell, Diane and David Archambault, Shay and Jason Hughes, Magda Marquet and Francois Ferre, Barbara Bry and Neil Senturia, Ione and Tony Steigler, Eleanor and Jerry Navarra, and Elaine and Tom Murphy.

TRIPLE TREAT:
Restaurateur Tracy Borkum opened the doors to Laurel for the third installment of the “3 Kitchens for Kids” dinners benefiting local children’s nonprofits. The evening, which raised funds for the Children’s Museum, featured a four-course meal called “Study of the Mediterranean”—prepared by chefs at Laurel, Chive, Kensington Grill and Urban Kitchen—with wine pairings. Among the 80 culinary tourists: Kay Wagner, Misty and Tom Carter, Barbara and David Snodgrass, Judi Sanzo and Mitch Demblin, Marty Poirier, Susan Keiser, Michael Kelly, Ysela Hoffman, Jerry Gilbert, Joanee Udelf and Allan Gary, Leonard Fry, Margaret and Rex Downing, Peter Dennehy, Bob and Susan Blanchard, Peggy and Rick Burgess, Ann Armstrong Ash, Linda Stuart, Robert Gleason, Laura DeMerchant, and Anwar and Mimi Fekini.
