| Description |
UC San Diego School of Medicine’s Lead the Way campaign, the world’s first comprehensive “test and treat” model of HIV prevention, is partnering with Walgreens in North Park to offer free, confidential HIV tests to the public every Thursday. San Diegans can head to the North Park Walgreens from 9:00 am to 4:00 every Thursday. A trained Lead the Way HIV tester will be stationed in the parking lot outside of Walgreens to administer the HIV tests. No appointments required. Lead the Way is encouraging all San Diegans to support the overall health of their community by getting tested. Lead the Way hopes to demonstrate that with appropriate HIV testing and treatment, HIV can be controlled within a community. |
