HAIR DRIVE – ROCK YOUR LOCKS and SHARE YOUR HAIR!
EVENT DETAILS:
Celebrating our 5th year  in partnership with the San Diego Alopecia Areata Support Group, Carlton Hair is donating ponytails to National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) and Locks of Love to raise awareness for Alopecia Areata in San Diego. Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune disorder that prevents hair from growing, affecting over 5 million Americans, thousands in California alone. The public is welcome to join and share their hair. The hair donation drive is Sunday, September 26th from 11 AM to 3 PM. at the following three salons: Carlton Hair-Ecotique Day Spa in Del Mar, Carlton Hair Salon and Day Spa in Fashion Valley Mall, and Carlton Hair in North County Fair Mall. Call Carlton Hair Ecotique Day Spa at (858) 794-8991, Carlton Hair in Fashion Valley at (619) 683-7707, or Carlton Hair in North County Fair (760) 489 - 7070  to make your reservation. Haircuts will be complimentary to Locks of Love and Alopecia Areata hair donors during the Hair Drive.

Donated hair is evaluated for its usefulness according to the following guidelines:

1. It must be at least 10 inches in length
2. It must be bundles in a pony-tail or a braid
3. It must be free of hair damaged by chemical processing (no bleach, no recent perms. Dyed hair is okay, as long as it’s healthy. If you’re not sure, ask your stylist)
