Habitat for Humanity

Group Size: 5–15

No experience required for you and your group to become homebuilders for the day. All you need is a spare seven hours and a desire to help build affordable, environmentally sustainable housing for San Diego’s residents in need. A construction superintendent will provide training as well as tools and safety equipment.

Alpha Project

Group Size: Any size

Help the fight to end homelessness in San Diego by organizing a donation drive in your workplace or community. Collect hygiene items, pillows, pillowcases, twin sheets, undergarments, socks, shoes, blankets, and bottled water to empower and support those experiencing homelessness.

SAY San Diego

Group Size: 1–70

SAY (Social Advocates for Youth) San Diego’s mission is to promote opportunity, equity, and well-being for all San Diegans. Grab your crew and volunteer or participate in Play 4 SAY in July (sign up starting in May). The volunteer-run event brings business professionals, local leaders, and SAY supporters together for a lawn-games tournament.

Water Works

Group Size: Any size, divided into teams of 5–8

Enroll your group in their two-hour teambuilding program to learn how to make emergency water-filtration devices and bring clean water to those in need.

Wounded Warriors

Group Size: Any size

Organize an event for your workplace or community to fundraise for veterans in need. Put on a golf tournament, BBQ, motorcycle ride, school event, or even a video game livestream to raise money while having fun with your group.

Humble Design

Group Size: 1–10

Help furnish a home for a family transitioning from homelessness by transporting furniture, decorating, cleaning, or doing yard work. At the end of the day, volunteers witness the amazement and relief felt by the family when their new furnished home is revealed.
