Hawai’i Food & Wine Festival on O’ahu:
October 26-30
Few culinary events are as rooted in their locales as the sixth annual Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival. Co-founded by James Beard Award–winning chefs Roy Yamaguchi and Alan Wong, the festival showcases the natural bounty of Hawai’i. Over 100 internationally renowned chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, and purveyors come together for inventive dining experiences, wine tastings, cooking demos, and unique excursions, all highlighting ingredients from Hawai‘i’s farms, ranches, and seas. Festival proceeds benefit local agriculture and culinary education programs.
Honolulu Fashion Week:
November 10-13
Street-smart urban wear, contemporary tropical styles, and sizzling swimwear are on display at runway shows and for sale at pop-ups featuring local designers at the third annual Honolulu Fashion Week. The Reach the Runway show featuring Kini Zamora—a Project Runway standout—is a benefit to support a mentorship program for Hawai’i middle school students interested in fashion careers. Runway to Runway, sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines, showcases designs inspired by destinations where the carrier flies. And the Reyn Spooner show highlights this iconic island brand famed for its reverse-print aloha shirts.
Hawai’i International Film Festival:
