Foodtasia: Hail to the Chefs

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank raised $382,000 at its annual gala, “Foodtasia: Hail to the Chefs.” The event was held at the 80,000-square-foot warehouse facility, showcasing its operations to the 450 attending. Guests enjoyed craft cocktails and hors d’oeuvres during the opening reception, which featured a silent auction and live music. The evening’s live auction included luxury trips to Thailand, Paris, and Hawaii; a private jet to L.A. for a live viewing of the talk show Ellen; and an ultimate L.A. sports package with VIP tickets to see the Clippers, Dodgers, and Angels in action. Funds raised support various hunger-relief programs. â€‹
