Best of San Diego 2014

Our annual list of the best of the best in San Diego right now — with an emphasis on the now.

Published:

If you’re craving a little more pop in your popsicle, if your booty is boot-camped out, or if you simply want to drink more beer, we’ve got just the thing. Or things. Read on for our annual list of the best of the best in San Diego right now—with an emphasis on the now. A trampoline workout, a pile of bacon with a side of butter, and a guided brewery crawl on bikes are only the beginning.

Of course, this list is completely subjective. We are a small group of editors and writers in a very large county, and even though we taste-tested, massaged, vetted, stalked, and jump-squatted our way from San Marcos to San Ysidro, your opinions may differ. Heck, our triple IPA may be triply egregious, by your standards. We’re open for both high-fives and grievances, as always. Please chime in. Now, about that pile of bacon…

Best of San Diego 2014 This glass mosaic surfboard was custom-designed by local artist Cherrie La Porte.
